Your Cone Forest Christmas Decoration

Steps

  • Print out the pdf file and cut the template shape out. Take a sheet of Bristol card or origami paper and trace the cone shapes. (Different sizes are available.)
  • Cut the traced shape out.
  • Fold the edge flap of the cone along the dotted line and apply glue to it.
  • Bend the shape carefully to bring both edges together then glue one to the other.
  • Attach a bobble or star to the apex of each cone, twirl some embroidery thread around the cone, and apply finishing touches according to your inspiration.

Guest Card Christmas Decorations for your Plates

Age: 6 or over | Difficulty:  ★ | Time needed: 20 minutes

Steps

  • Print out the pdf file and cut the template shape out.
  • Place the resulting reindeer shape on a sheet of foam and cut all around it without stopping on the way.
  • Cut out the eye and nose shapes from a different coloured sheet of foam.
  • Glue the eyes and nose to the reindeer.
  • Glue a clothes peg onto the back of the reindeer.

Place Marker Christmas Decorations for your Table

Age: 6 or over | Difficulty:  ★★ | Time needed: 20 minutes

Steps

  • Cut a 15cm x 21cm rectangle from a sheet of Bristol card.
  • Apply decorative tape to one side of the sheet, which becomes the outside.
  • Carefully bend the sheet to bring the edges together, then glue one to the other.
  • Fold the top edges over until they meet and hold them in place with more decorative tape.
  • Apply finishing touches to your table place marker with stars, raffia, etc., as the inspiration takes you, then attach a label in the middle.

Your Photoframe Christmas Decoration

Age: 5 or over | Difficulty:  ★ | Time needed: 30 minutes

Steps

  • Cut out paper strips with a variety of colours.
  • Glue strips of alternating colours to your sheet of foam-backed card.
  • Attach your photos either using the mini clothes pegs or by tucking the edge of the photo between the paper strips.

Your Felt Reindeer Christmas Decoration

Age: 6 or over | Difficulty:  ★★ | Time needed: 1 hour

Steps

  • Print out the templates shown on the next page and cut them to shape.
  • Transfer the pattern to the felt twice (front and back) and cut out both felt shapes.
  • Assemble these two shapes and sew them together using the festoon stitch method.
  • Glue sparkly pom-poms where the eyes go then draw the nose and mouth.
