Bioplastic bin liners break down completely in fewer than six months when in contact with organic matter and exposed to micro-organisms. Completely biodegradable: at the end of the degradation process, only water, mineral salts, carbon dioxide and biomass remain.
Primarily intended to collect fermentable waste, bioplastic bin liners are suitable for processing in composting centres where they help produce quality compost. They can also be incorporated into the energy production chain through methanisation.
